Engineering Process

1. Requirements Analysis: Derived from official game rules, the Q & A, and the Generic Kit Usage Guide

2. Design: Includes brainstorming, prototyping, alternatives analysis, and finalizing the design

3. Implementation: Model in Computer Aided Design (CAD) using Fusion 360, 3D print, and initial CNC cutting

4. System Integration: Make final precision CNC cuts, complete robot assembly, and program the robot

5. Verification and Validation: Test at each step of the engineering process from design to production

6. Production: Make modifications based on game day performance and market the robot

Work Showcase

Our Robot

The robot we created is called the R12A Perses. The name, which is based off of Greek Mythology, means “Titan of Destruction”. Our robot provides an effective solution to the tasks given to our company by BEST, Inc. Coded with Mathworks Simulink software, it is fast, efficient, and practical.
