Demo Daze

BEST (Boosting Engineering, Science, and Technology) is a national robotics competition in the United States held each fall, designed to help interest middle school and high school students in possible engineering careers. The games are similar in scale to those of the FIRST Tech Challenge. This year the challenge for students is to build a robot that cleans up a contruction site in a safe and efficient manner.

Our Engineering Process

Requirements Analysis

Derived from official game rules, the Q & A, and the Generic Kit Usage Guide

Design

Includes brainstorming, prototyping, alternatives analysis, and finalizing the design

Implementation

Model in Computer Aided Design (CAD) using Fusion 360, 3D print, and initial CNC cutting

System Integration

Make final precision CNC cuts, complete robot assembly, and program the robot

Verification and Validation

Test at each step of the engineering process from design to production

Production

Make modifications based on game day performance and market the robot
